Simon Rimaz is a young and promising photographer.

Born by the riverside of the Broye in Payerne, he now lives and works in Lausanne. He’s currently studying in the school of photography in Vevey.

Sharp eyed, some of his inspirations are Avedon, Peterson or Bailey. For his serie, « portraits », their attitudes seem to face the time.

The way he masters light is not to be proven anymore as we can see in the serie « Kythira’s Watchtowers ». He says that sometimes the light seems to be speaking to him.

His childhood iconography inspires him for the « corpus » project in which he tends to analyze some of the social classes he was strongly fascinated by as he was a child.

Just keep an eye on this photographer. His beginnig of career lets me think that we’re going to see some really interesting projects.
